You’d agree when we hear the term inflammation it does not sound too alarming. On a basic level inflammation is nothing but the body’s own defense to be able to heal a certain injury or condition. It is a mechanism that responds against a perceived harmful attack to the body or a way of dealing with some foreign object. While inflammation may be a way to protect the body, it can become chronic and have serious implications.
Often when an inflamed body responds to its own cells as harmful, it may lead to chronic diseases like diabetes, heart ailments and obesity. Therefore, it is essential to recognize crucial signs and symptoms of inflammation in the body and nip them in the bud to avoid potential complications and diseases. It is essential to note here that the cause of inflammation can be as simple as one’s own genes, diet, sleep pattern, activity level, allergies, etc. Here are some of the major chronic inflammation signs that could point towards an underlying chronic condition!
Exhaustion, prolonged fatigue and sleep issues
If you feel constantly exhausted and never feel rested enough, your body knows that there is something wrong with you. Sleeping every day for either less than 7 hours or more than 9 hours can trigger inflammation in the body. And inflammation can make you really sick.
Constant aches and pains
As our temperature rises, our body begins aching. However, if aches and pains are regular for you, it is surely a sign of inflammation and a reason for alarm. Any pain experienced during activity or movement is a sign that your body is communicating with you to warn you against something not being right. Arthritis for instance is a chronic condition caused by chronic inflammation.
While gastritis or bloating issues only sometimes is not a problem, constant or prolonged bouts of the same can be a cause of concern. Regular acidity or gas is surely not right and calls to visit the doctor. Lymph nodes are found in the neck, armpits and groin. Any kind of swelling or inflammation in the lymph nodes indicates that there is something off in your immune system. While a stuffy nose may seem harmless and make you think it’s a seasonal allergy, it could be so much more. If it doesn’t go after a few days, then it could be a sign of chronic inflammation in your body.
